MUGUANG STUDIO

MUGUANG (沐光) is a picture book studio based in Taipei, founded by two artists dedicated to illustration and storytelling for children.

Through warm, hand-drawn imagery, the studio hopes to bring joy and comfort to young readers, surrounding them with tenderness throughout their childhood.

The name ‘MUGUANG‘ means “to bathe in sunlight”, reflecting the studio’s belief in creating stories and images that feel gentle, luminous, and full of warmth.

Logo Ideation, Logo Suite & Color Palette

The logo design draws geometric inspiration from the structure of the Chinese characters themselves, incorporating the tree form and mountain shape from the character “木”.
These elements are then integrated into a single symbol, representing the idea that “nature is the best teacher.” Finally, playful eyes and a hand-drawn texture are added to give the logo a warm, friendly, and child-like visual character.

The color palette emphasizes warm, earthy browns and soft blues, creating a sense of comfort and simplicity.
Hand-drawn illustrations of plants and animals from nature are used as visual highlights, bringing the quiet vitality of a forest to life. Just like the studio’s name MUGUANG (to bathe in sunlight), the overall visual language feels calm, natural, and at ease.
